Fair Trade Oriental Rug Event

Ten Thousand Villages hosts its Annual Fair Trade Oriental Rug Event, with selections of over 300 handknotted, heirloom quality rugs made by fairly paid adults in Pakistan. Sales provide marginalized artisans with sustainable income for food, housing, and education, while preserving a culturally rich art form passed down from generation to generation. Sale runs May 15th-18th, with an Introduction to Oriental Rug Evening on Thur. May 16, at 7pm, both at Augustana Lutheran Church.
