Volunteer for Empower Women in Africa

Spend an afternoon cutting, sewing and packing cloth menstrual pads that will be given to girls in rural Namibia who would otherwise miss school each month. Once given, these pads will be washed and reused for up to three years, increasing the girls' access to valuable education. No sewing experience required! Bring a friend along or make new friends! Consider donating flannel, cotton, girls' underwear, freezer quality quart size Ziploc bags or safety pins.
