Using color theories from multiple sources, including Josef Albers' The Interaction of Color, students will come to understand the relationships between colors and discover the expressive possibilities of variations in value. Through a series of structured exercises and color mixing and matching experiments, students will learn how to brighten, dull, lighten, or darken colors without changing the painted surface.
