Using fresh flowers, students are taught contemporary Japanese flower arrangement according to the Sogetsu School.
Materials: Flower scissors, shallow container (suiban) - a minimum 10" diameter and 2" deep, flower pin holder (kenzan) - sun/moon shape and 3" diameter and a 3-5" deep plastic bowl for cutting flowers in water.
All materials should be purchased in the classroom.
