Blurring Reality: Works by Philip Krejcarek and Valerie J. Christell

Krejcarek, professor of art at Carroll University, photographs the recurring themes of religion, death, sexuality and male/female relationships. In this series, he revisits the early Christian concept of the adoration of women with iconographic images as an investigation of spirituality.
Christell teaches art history and studio art at Alverno College, and is founder/gallery director of Merge Gallery in Milwaukee. Her digital photography collages combine natural and human images to form visual metaphors.… Show more
Also on display at the arts center will be work by Charles Wickler, an adjunct instructor of art at Carroll University and a retired elementary art teacher from Hamilton School District in Sussex. He creates mixed media paintings and pastel drawings.
