City Beets is a gardening and leadership program for 12 to 15 year-olds. Participants grow food at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark Community Garden while learning leadership skills. Produce is sold at the PNC 2nd Street Market and used in nutrition and cooking lessons. Teens receive a stipend. Applications available online or at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark.
