The Davis Graduate

"The Grad," as it's called, is at this point almost a Davis landmark with it's beer mug crest and long wooden tables. In the afternoons this large pub is a great place to get a few beers and watch whatever game it is you're interested in; there are TVs of every size all over the place and they're usually showing sports. The food is standard pub fare and can seem a little overpriced though. At night the grad is transformed into one of the most energetic nightlife spots in Davis. There's usually has a theme, so check before you go. You could be hoping for something like big-city clubbing and find youself in a line dance. There's top 40 night, salsa night, etc. The college crowd comes out in force for Friday nights, which feature pop and hip-hop and well drinks that start at a ridiculous 10-for-1 at 10pm and get more expensive every half hour as your inhibitions and wallet loosen up.
