Lisa Reinertson: Edge of Extinction
Friday, May 3 11:30a
to
5:00p
Pence Gallery
Davis,
CA
Known for large-scale figurative ceramic sculptures and public memorials in bronze, including Cesar Chavez, in Chavez Plaza Park, Reinertson has returned to working primarily in clay to produce a new body of work. In this exhibit, she explores our relationship with the animal world, driven by her awareness of the crisis of so many animals on the verge of extinction. Her sculptures affirm our responsibility of stewardship for life on this earth, which is interlinked with our own survival.
