Tuesday, Feb 12 5:00p
The public is invited to two talks by Civil Rights activist and author Angela Davis. She will conduct a podium discussion titled “Black Panthers and African American GIs in West Germany in the 1960s and 1970s,” refering to a display on that topic in the Alvarez College Union, and Davis’s own experiences as a graduate student in Germany in the mid-1960s. Davis will also deliver Davidson’s annual Wearn Lecture on the topic, “Political Activism and Protest from the 1960s to the Age of Obama” at 8.
