Robert Earl Keen and Todd Snider with Bruce Robison

Sunday, Nov 8 7:00p
at Capitol Theatre, Davenport, IA
Price: Seating for this show is reserved with all tickets priced at $25.
Age Suitability: None Specified

Jump intothose cowboy boots and get ready for a real good time! The Capitol welcomes Robert Earl Keen . Referred to as the “unofficial godfather of a brand new Texas outlaw country scene”, Keen brings literate storytelling with a genre that falls between folk and alt-country. Sure to get the party started and keep it going all night, don't miss Robert Earl Keen as he makes his Davenport debut.

Co-billed is fellow Texan, Todd Snider. Snider is a renegade storyteller who crafts songs about the everyday man and truthful observations of society with trademark wit.

Opening the show is Texan #3, singer/songwriter, Bruce Robison. Bruce has written several songs which have become hits, including: "Travelin' Soldier," (covered by the Dixie Chicks, reached No. 1 on the country charts), "Angry All the Time," (recorded by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, also reached No. 1 on the country charts); and "Wrapped," which was a No. 1 hit for George Strait

Initially The Excitement Plan (June 9th on Yep Roc Records) wasn't supposed to be about anything. I was just trying to come up with the best... most open hearted ... well-thought-out lyrics I could come up with.

Rockin' Texas Singer-Songwriter Robert Earl Keen's new album, "What I Really Mean," was released on May 10th, 2005. It might not be a crime to place him in the class of talented Texan songwriters such as Guy Clark or his old friend Lyle Lovett, but it might be a mistake.
