The Rise of Flamenco
Orchestra of New Spain presents a Valentine weekend of Flamenco with Dallas Flamenco Festival,Antonio Arrebola,Cristo Cortes, Chayito Champion & Delilah Buitron bringing to life the influence of Garcia Lorca, Falla, and painter Joaquin Sorolla—whom you can see at the Meadows Museum.
Falla’s great Spanish drama, El Corregidor y la Molinera opens the show. Lorca’s Andalusian songs played by the Orchestra and danced by the company, tell the story, ending with a typical tablao for the entire cast.
