Arts & Letters Live: Richard Mason & Amor Towles
Friday, Feb 17, 2012 7:00p
Dallas Museum of Art
Dallas,
TX
Amor Towles and Richard Mason will transport us to a different time and place. Towles' new book, Rules of Civility, is set in Greenwich Village in 1938; two girls' chance encounter with a dashing young man will change their stations and test their social mores. Richard Mason's newest novel, History of a Pleasure Seeker, is set at the height of Europe's Belle Époque, in bourgeois Amsterdam. He tells a story of Piet Barol and his entry into a world of moneyed glamour and dangerous temptations.
