Mick's was gutted by a four-alarm fire March 2, 2010. Find the full story linked below and to the right.

Mick's oozes cool, in a trendy sort of way. Think Casablanca with disco-fever, and add a dash of the spins. It's the feeling of being unerringly suave while sitting in a candlelit booth sipping a cognac, yet set to the not-too-subtle thump of house music. Kind of like having your own private booth at a VIP techno party.
The decor caters to the bleary-eyed, with murals of innocently hostile sock monkeys and bunny rabbits unabashedly utilizing various, ummm, paraphernalia. A kaleidoscope light show of colors and patterns is projected onto the wall over the bar, and a window near the ceiling displays a disc jockey mixing and mastering the evening's beats. Somehow, the DJ fits in perfectly as "decoration." All of the facets of Mick's work together well, but you have the feeling that none of them would be able to stand on their own successfully.
Sundays seem to be Mick's most populous night, but there are a decent amount of patrons throughout the weekend. We were there on a Friday at 9:30 p.m. and had our pick of booths and full attention from the bartender and waitress (though no chance of an outside table).
