Cumberland Public Library
Cumberland,
RI
Come to this free program that has something for everyone from 5 to 105. You will discover just how fascinating honeybees can be.
Beekeeper Lynn Davignon, from Cumberland, will explain why honeybees are good, how honey is made and what life is like in the hive.
See samples of bee's wax, pollen, bee "glue," frames, expired bees and the gear that's necessary to work with bees. As a special treat, sample a few different honeys to see how flower varieties can make different flavors.
