The Crawford Park District will welcome local artifact collectors who will display their finds at the Nature Center. Members of the Johnny Appleseed Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Ohio will also be on hand to display their collections. More than 40 extinct animals, and animals now limited to far colder northern regions, have been excavated from Sheridan Cave. About 13,000 years ago, the first known Ohio human inhabitants, the Clovis culture, left artifacts cached in the rear of the cave. Dale's first hand knowledge of this research will no doubt provide for an exciting and informative program. Lowe-Volk Park is located 3 miles north of US Route 30.
