Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who would write the scores for "Ragtime" and "Seussical", exploded on the musical theater scene in 1988 with their first off-Broadway show, "Lucky Stiff", a zany, offbeat, very funny murder mystery farce complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities, six million dollars in diamonds, and a corpse in a wheelchair.
