Safety Town 2012 Session 4

A summer safety program for children entering kindergarten in the fall, held at The Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis. SAFETY Town FAQ's What safety topics will be covered at Safety Town? Week One: Officer Friendly, Stranger Safety & Traffic Safety, Bike, Playground and Pedestrian Safety, Gun, Bus & Water Safety. Week Two: Fire Safety, Seatbelt & Animal Safety, Electrical Safety & Safety with crossing guards, Poison Control, 911 & Train Safety. What ages can participate in Safety Town? Children entering… Show more kindergarten in the fall of 2012 can participate. Can I stay with my child during class time? No. May younger siblings attend? No, due to space and equipment restrictions. Will I get the session I request? Sessions are first come, first served. A waiting list will be maintained. Space is limited so register early! Can I change groups after I have registered? We will do our best to place children in small groups(five to seven children per group)with other children that they will attend school with in the Fall. Please note that sometimes we are unable to do this. Any requests to be a part of a group other than that assigned will be granted for medical, disability, behavioral, or other compelling reasons only. The requests should be made prior to the program start date. Requests to switch groups for general, non-compelling reasons will not be approved. A volunteer youth leader will work closely with your child's group throughout the program.
