Mary Reynolds Thompson: Writing the Wild Landscapes of Our Lives

Saturday, Feb 9, 2013 10:00a to 3:00p
Book Passage Bookstore Corte Madera, CA

Nature writing emphasizes the relationship between outer landscapes and the inner terrain of psyche and soul. In this workshop, students focus on the natural world in order to turn inward. The class reviews nature writing by Terry Tempest Williams, Barry Lopez, and Gretel Ehrlich. Students find nature’s metaphors in their own experiences. Mary Thompson is founder of “Write the Damn Book.” She is author of many essays on eco-spirituality. Dominican class credit available.
