All authors need to be prepared to “present” themselves and their project in the best possible manner at all times. The listener might be an agent, publisher, bookseller, or future reader—or related to one! Acheson shares what works, what doesn’t—and why. The pre-class assignment is to write a 30-second pitch. (Instructions will be received upon registration.) You’ll leave the workshop with tools to create a well-honed, ever-useful, selling description.
