Tent City Restaurant celebrates an era in Coronado's history. Like our namesake, our atmosphere is casual and sophisticated without the fuss. Our cuisine is best described as California Eclectic with a focus on freshness. Best of all, we are located in the heart of Coronado and are just two blocks from the Hotel Del Coronado. Tent City Restaurant was founded by longtime Coronado residents Rick & Ron Chapman and opened its doors in March of 2001. These two entrepreneurs got a chance to open their restaurant at the old restaurant site (circa 1981) on the historic Orange Avenue and proceeded to create their landmark restaurant, Tent City Restaurant. The restaurant became an instant success with its beautiful decor, old fashioned appeal, and friendly and atmosphere.
