Chapungu: Custom and Legend, a Culture in Stone - March 12-16 & 26-30
While the Chapungu exhibit, the largest collection of African stone sculptures, is at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden through the end of May, aspiring artists have a chance to create their very own masterpiece at one of several five-day workshops. No prior experience is required and the $625 ($500 for Fairchild members) fee includes a sculpting stone from Zimbabwe, as well as a set of tools to keep.
