I'm constantly attending the Carmike Cinema with friends and family. If one had gone to the Highland 12 which use to occupy the lot, one would see how extravagant the Carmike Cinema is. The place has been well kept up since it opened, even the bathrooms are always in supply of the necessities and tidy! Most of the staff is young, I've noticed, but they're always kind and keep up with business with new movie releases. The concessions are higher than the one's of the highland 12, but I think it's just because it took so long to build the new cinema and then the economy became worse. Also, the new digital 3D they have now is good for those who have messed up eyes or only have use of one eye because the new 3D you don't have to have both your eyes to see the effect. Well that's all I can think of, and I hope you enjoy the Carmike Cinema as much as I have.

This movie was great. Loved it in 3D would go again. This was my second time seeing it,yes popcorn was a little high but it was tasty. The first time I saw this movie was in my home town theater,Castle Cinemas (large combo 6.50) in Jamestown,Tn, where new releases are just 2.00 that's right you can still see a new release for little expense with wonderful seating and inexpensive concessions. No I don't have any ties to this theater, just a movie lover.

The chipmonks movie was absolutely grand for Nana, Papa and the grandaughter. The theatre was clean, and very well maintained even the people weren't bad.
What's with the concession prices. I'm speaking of everything but let's really talk about $5.40 for a small popcorn. Did Obama buy shares in this theatre chain? That's too much money folks. It seems that competition would do a world of good for all patrons of the movies in Cookeville, Tn.

This theater is a MILLION times better than the old one. If you have problems with the theater do not go. You need to sit in the upper seats to get the best experience. Not only is this place amazing it is run and taken care of properly.

I can't figure out what is so uncomfortable about the seats in this theatre, but everytime I watch a movie here, I feel like I need a chiropractor afterwards. It's weird, but it's a very uncomfortabe place to watch a movie, but they are really the only theatre nearby, so it's this or nothing. On a happy note, the concession lines move quickly.

I saw the movie today ,I was so bummed the picture quality was bad. I don't know if it was the projection at the theater of just the way the movie was released. I am still suffering from the piecing pink and green pixel type spots all over everything the entire movie it hurt my eyes.

the theater is pretty great, great seats, screens, etc. i'm really, really wanting to watch stop-loss, though, and i'm afraid that it's not going to play here. PLAY IT PLEASE!!!

This new theatre replaces the Highland 10 theatre. New feature include digital (DLP) projectors and digital sound systems. The stadium seating is very comfortable. There is one drawback. This theatre has only been open a short time and it is already filthy. I do not understand why management would let such a beautiful facility go to pot in just a few weeks.
One more thing, the audio is so loud that it actually hurts your ears.
