Rivertown 12

I enjoy going with the girls on Friday. I don't know why anyone would think that the staff is anything but friendly and the theater itself is as clean as any. I sure hope that they make it because I may have to bury my Mother if they should close!!!

Rivertown Sadium 12

I go to this theatre every Friday with a group of ladies, about 6 and we love it. Don't know what the reviews are complainting about. This movie place is great, and clean and everyone is very helpful. Even though I don't buy popcorn everytime I go , but when I do it is very good, if not why don't you take it back and request fresh bag of popcorn, are drink. I come from ther beach at work to go to this movie theater, and I am about half way on 501, and could go to beach, but I live in conway and choose tocome to this one. Hope it stays in business and the Manager stays beacause he is better than any of the rest that has been there.

Love this place!

This will always be my theater of choice. Not too cold. Not too loud. Of the numerous times I've been there, it's always been clean. The employees are friendly and courteous. They have really great movies in the summers on Tuesdays for kids for $1 admission. Plus, 1 free refill on large drinks.

Never Again!

I've been there 4 times: 4 times too many.

Besides the fact that the ticket booth at the entrance hasn't been used since the first week and you have to buy your tickets at the snack counter, there are about 50 things wrong with the way this place is run.

The very sloppy, unkempt, unshaved, unpolished, unwashed help are completely inattentive. Waiting 10 minutes for an old lady to show up to sell you a ticket for a movie that started 5 minutes ago is normal, but totally unacceptable.

Besides the fact that the popcorn is terrible and the soda is flat, the snacks are priced like this is downtown New York or L.A., not Conway.

The theater has always been filthy, too, on each of my 4 visits. Now I know that just because there are 11 employees standing around chatting and watching 2 people try to serve snacks and drinks to 100 people trying to make the beginning of a movie is frustrating, but it's also frustrating knowing that a few of those 11 people chatting and watching could have been cleaning up the vomit on a seat next to me or sweeping a floor.

The sound system is completely horrible, too. The speakers snap and hiss, the sound has been muffled, and on 1 movie, the sound was off by 1/2 a second for the first 20 minutes. Oh, and it isn't very loud, either. My 7.1 home theater system is much louder.

I rate this theater a 1 out of 100.

I live in Conway, and would rather drive to the beach than patronize this place again.

I won't be back. Too bad, since I spend a lot of money when I go to the movies, and I usually see 2 movies a week. That's about $320 a month this theater is losing just from me.

Conway Theater

In todays economy we are thrilled that there is a theater in Conway and we no longer have to drive to the beach.

It has always been clean, the management pleasant, and up to date moves, not reruns from last year.

Keep up the good work Rivertown.

Bedtime Story

Great underated movie..laughs non stop and you won't be disappointed.
My Grandaughter age 11 certainly enjoyed it as well..she is an avid movie goer and recommended it to me with her.

Franks theater in Conway has not let us down yet, and hey they don't produce them just bring it to us for enjoyment
Keep up the good work!

Not dirty at all!

Isn't it odd that one person can be in the same place as another and have a totally different review? I love this place! It is clean. The people are friendly and they have real food! I have no idea where the bad reviews came from since it has always been a pleasure to watch a movie at Rivertown 12 in Conway.

Nice Theater, but soooo dirty

How can it still be such a new place and yet walking into a 7:30 showing of WALL-E the room did not look as if it had been cleaned in weeks. There were only 7 of us in the entire show. We were there very early and never saw anyone come in to clean or even check on the two kids that were running all over the entire theater, in and out of several movies. Poor employees and even worse guest service.

Love the Theater

We are so thankful for this theater in Conway. We used to have to drive to the beach to see a movie, now it's only a few minutes away. We go almost every weekend now. Thanks. :-)

Glad to have you in Conway

It was a rough start for the theater, finding and training staff to work well together, but we are so glad management stuck with it. Even if the price is a litter higher, it is still cheaper than driving to the beach.
We plan to support our local theater. Enjoying our movie in Conway

Nice theater, sorry employee

I've only seen one person working here. He doubles as ticket seller and refreshment person. He works at one speed- S-L-O-W! Don't show up late for your movie or you'll REALLY be late waiting on him to fetch your popcorn and drinks! He's probably the owner's son. I'd have fired him his first day! The theater itself is well laid out and comfortable. I've never seen more than 4 people in a movie, I don't know how they're going to stay in business. It sure is nice and quiet though, and no fighting traffic or standing in line like in Myrtle Beach!

A+ experience!! We will be regulars!

GREAT experience! I will take Rivertown Stadium 12 or Frank Theater over ANY of the beach theaters anytime. Well organized. Comfortable. Easy access. No traffic jams getting there and no "mall lot" parking. Only complaint is it's a little pricey compared to competitors and should have matinee discounts and other promotions.

Long Wait for Nothing Much

I was so looking forward to having a local theater. It would be nice to avoid the drive into Myrtle Beach.

Sadly, Rivertown Stadium 12 or Franks as the sign actually reads is too little too late. A working phone number with movie times would be nice. Something that EVERY theater in the last 40+ years has had. Expecially since the online listings are never correct. Attempting to view a movie there is potluck at best and frustrating at worst. I'll just wait for the DVD releases.
