A marvelous singer-songwriter pairing! Marc Cohn - singer-songwriter, pianist, and acoustic guitarist - is often named among the most personal and most introspective lyricists of his generation. Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s when, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, she sang what has been labeled contemporary folk or neo-folk songs of her own creation in Greenwich Village clubs.
Marc Cohn's supple, velvety baritone and elegant piano-based arrangements frame shrewdly crafted songs ripe with pop touches which led his debut album, featuring the hit "Walking in Memphis," to earn the 1991 Grammy for Best New Artist. Marc's beautiful, tasteful and intelligent songwriting has also won him many fans among his fellow musicians. Marc's follow up albums have featured backing vocals from such artists as Rosanne Cash, David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Bonnie Raitt.
Since the release of her self-titled, critically acclaimed 1985 debut album, she has given sold-out concerts in many of the world's best-known halls. In performances devoid of outward drama that nevertheless convey deep emotion, Vega sings in a distinctive, clear vibrato-less voice that has been described as "a cool, dry sandpaper- brushed near-whisper" and as "plaintive but disarmingly powerful."

One Sunday morning in the early '70s, a youngster in Cleveland caught an earful of Van Morrison's Astral Weeks and his life was never to be the same. That kid was Marc Cohn, and soon after that morning, he bought everything Morrison had released to date, along with works by Joni Mitchell and Jackson
