The March 2013 ‘Buildings in Action’ tour features COTA's 1333 Fields Avenue Facility. This tour will provide attendees with the opportunity to walk through a state of the art mass transit support station. The facility's numerous sustainable features will be highlighted through a pre-tour introduction, as well as a multi-stop walking tour. Features that will be discussed… Show more include:
  -Site paving and storm water management strategies
  -Water conservation strategies
  -Site landscaping strategies
  -Energy efficient electrical systems
  -Energy efficient Hvac systems
  -Daylight harvesting
  -Indoor air quality management
  -Extensive research management efforts
The tour will be led my numerous members of the design, construction and operations team, which will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn directly from the team that completed the project. This will also allow attendees to ask the design, construction and operations team questions relating to their project process at each of the tour stops.
