The Reese House is a true gem of mid-20th century architecture. Conceived by David Schackne while still a student at Ohio State University, The Reese House is an early example of the split-level house type where the stairs and upper level hallway overlook the living room. Schackne, also a noted artist, went on to serve as chief architect for Columbus City Schools, designing Brookhaven, Walnut Ridge, and Whetstone high schools.
