“Spirits of Spring”

The Gleneagle Sertoma Club will hold its 9th Annual “Spirits of Spring” Wine and Beer Tasting and Auction Charity Event at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 4, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Contact Sertoma at 488-9879 or www.SpiritsofSpring.org for a preview of the many items that will be up for bid this year. “Spirits of Spring” has become a very popular annual event. Highlights include specialties… Show more from local chefs, dozens of wine and beer tastings, and a professional auctioneer for a live and silent auction. Proceeds from this event directly benefit Home Front Cares, Pikes Peak Hospice and Tri-Lakes Cares.

Just a sample of the exciting & unique trips to be offered on our "Live Auction" for this year will include an African Photo Safari, Escape to Ireland, A Tuscan Adventure, and a visit to the Wine Country of San Francisco. There will also be a large number of unique items including restaurant certificates, condo’s and gifts up for bid during the silent auction.

This unique event supporting local charities will provide you with an excellent opportunity to mingle with local people who feel strongly that charity begins at home. Supported organizations also include other organizations for the hearing-impaired, the Boy Scouts of America, patriotic speech contests through the local schools, and college scholarships for the hearing-impaired.

You will enjoy tantalizing samples of unique cuisine from many local restaurants including The Mozaic at the Inn at Palmer Divide, Biaggi's, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Colorado Mountain Brewery, and Texas Roadhouse plus several other surprise restaurants. These delicacies will be complemented by an array of outstanding wines and beers generously poured by vendors selected by Downtown Fine Spirits and Wines. The silent and live auctions will feature donations from generous local businesses.

Gleneagle Sertoma (SERvice TO MAnkind) sponsors the event and all profits go to local charities. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides services and support to numerous charities in El Paso County. Gleneagle Sertoma also donates funds for low-income people to receive low-cost audiologist services and hearing aids through the Sertoma HEARS program.

Few charities are more important to northern El Paso County than Tri-Lakes Cares. You might not be that familiar with Tri-Lakes Cares. When families in our area have difficulties, Tri-Lakes Cares is there with food, clothing, utility bill payment assistance, and most importantly – someone who will listen and care. They are truly a bonding force that is a foundation charity for the Tri-Lakes area.

Gleneagle Sertoma has raised thousands of dollars for charities in the past and we would like your help in continuing this tradition.
