Second Annual Valentine's Event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation

FitBody Studio is hosting it's 2nd Annual Valentine's Event, a benefit for Colorado Make-a-Wish. The event will feature an evening of love inspired decor and entertainment.



The event will commence with a guest goodie bag and bright smiles. Guests can enjoy light bites and cocktails, as well as a delectable dark chocolate fountain. The music ensemble includes the Springs popular New Vintage Trio Jazz Band. The Trio, fuses together styles such as jazz, funk, blues, swing, pop, and rock. Raffle… Show more give-away's will be offered and gifts include gift certificates for local boutique retail stores, restaurants, spa treats and fitness services. A valentine's party like this is meant for the whole community, singles and couples alike.

The History of Colorado Make-a-Wish: In 1983, Joan Mazak and many family members, friends and community supporters were working hard to raise the $500,000 it would cost for her 7-year-old daughter, Jennifer, to have a liver transplant. Meanwhile, Jennifer received a special visit from the KIMN Chicken, a popular local radio mascot. Joan marveled at how the radio station had heard of Jennifer's interest in meeting the mascot and their willingness to send him to their home. Jennifer passed away just two weeks after her visit from the KIMN Chicken. Remembering how much the visit had lifted Jennifer's spirits, Joan decided that the funds she and many others had raised for the transplant could help other children. When Joan heard of the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, she knew it was the perfect way to honor Jennifer's memory. Nearly 30 years later, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado is proud that it's been able to grant every eligible, referred child's wish.

Massage therapists specialize in pain management and muscular imbalances. The studio offers one-on-one fitness training, small group classes and nutrition services.
