University of Maryland School of Music: Fifteenth Annual Double Reed Day

Come be a part of this annual tradition as the University of Maryland's double reed faculty, Mark Hill, Sue Heineman, and Erich Heckscher invite oboists and bassoonists from the region to the beautiful Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center for a day of listening and learning, music-making and discussion pertaining to the challenges and rewards of double reed playing.
This year, Robert Atherholt, former Principal Oboe of the Houston Symphony and current full-time oboe faculty at Rice, will join us… Show more in our opening recital and Masterclass.

Master Repairman Brian Seaton of North American Oboe House will offer a noon-time seminar on oboe adjustment. Midwest Musical Imports, and Barry Trent, Marketing Director of Fox Products Corporation will also be on-site.
