2013 Florida State Paddleboard Championships

The Florida State Paddleboard Championships is scheduled Saturday, March 30, 2013. The venue has changed to the Cocoa Beach Pier.
This is a Wpa (http://worldpaddleassociation.com/) sanctioned event and an East Coast Paddle Board Association Points Series event.
Location: Cocoa Beach Pier, 1/2 Mile North of 520, off A1A, in Cocoa Beach, FL No Beach Registration . There will be pre-registration Friday night, at the east most gazebo north of Ron Jon.
King/Queen of the Beach competition begins after… Show more completion of the race. Trophy presentation is after completion of events. The competitor with the best combined time in the 7 mile race and the King/Queen of the Beach race will receive the Grand Champion trophy. Also the top two finishers in each category get their names engraved on the Perpetual Trophy. A reminder that Coast Guard Approved PFD's are mandatory for all participants. Leashes are not required, but are strongly recomended. Remember, this is an open ocean race and conditions are unpredictable. A lost board can cost you the race and result in a swim to the beach.
Entry fees include Event T-shirt (guaranteed for the first 75 entrants) and Raffle.
ALL Competitors Must Read This Release, And If Under 18 Years Of Age, Your Parent Or Legal Guardian Must Read. This Limits Your Right To Recover Damages In Case Of Accident. By Entering This Event You Are Agreeing To The Following WAIVER:
Liability Waiver (you must read). In consideration of my entry being accepted in the Florida State Paddleboard Championships (FSPBC), on March 30th, I / we for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, waive and release any and all claims including any claim for negligence I may have or accrue against the County of Brevard, The City of Cocoa Beach, Pacifico Clara, Kronic Surf Shop, American Promotional Services Inc., the Brevard County Lifeguard Service, The Cocoa Beach Pier, Ron Jon Surf Shop, The Cocoa Beach Surf Museum, the Paddleboard Race Committee Members, The World Paddle Association and any and all, volunteers, other Sponsors or co-sponsors, named or not, or their representatives, agents, assigns, or successors, of any and all damages or injuries or death which may be suffered as a result of my participation in this event. I and or my parents will inspect the contest site and conditions and I will not participate or compete in the FSPBC unless I / we are completely satisfied it is safe for competition. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the competition and other activities in this event and I am completely and solely responsible for my own safety. I give American Promotional Services, Inc. and The Cocoa Beach Surf Museum my permission to arrange telecasts, show or print and publish without royalty; any pictures or electronic images taken of me in conjunction with the event.
I am entering this event and agree that I will abide by all competition rules; I will not enter the competition area unless competing and I will not demonstrate any un-sportsman-like conduct. Any violation of the above will be cause for disqualification.
