Pomona College Orchestra, Eric Lindholm, conductor

2012 Pomona College Orchestra Concerto Competition winner Ryan Luo violin, joins the orchestra in Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77, also on the program is Shostakovich/Barshai’s Chamber Symphony in C minor, Op. 110a and Kodály’s Dances of Galanta. Luo hails from the bay area, and was co-concertmaster of the California Youth Symphony. He has won numerous local competitions, and in 2011 he performed in the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. He currently studies violin with Todor Pelev.
