Double Door opened its doors for the first time on June 12, 1994. In its eight-year history Double Door has continued to leave an indelible stamp on the hearts and souls of the people of Chicago. Over the past nine years Double Door has been host to many diverse and incredible musical acts
including local favorites The Smashing Pumpkins, Local H, Veruca Salt, Liquid Soul, Jesse de la Pena, Liz Phair, and Cheap Trick; national acts such as The Rolling Stones, Tonic, Fu Manchu, Kid Rock, Afghan Whigs, Macy Gray, Michelle Branch, The Cranberries, Bush, and Henry Rollins as well as hundreds of young emerging artists working their way through the live music scene.read more
