This solo exhibition presents several large-scale abstract paintings by Texas-based Laura Beard, as well as recent works on paper. Beard's work is in the tradition of second generation AEgestural painters like Joan Mitchell, and yet they are completely engaged with contemporary aesthetic dialogue.Beard has an extensive exhibition record including recent solo and group shows in Texas and New York.
