Old Time Two-Finger Banjo 1
Old time two-finger banjo is a syncopated, barehanded alternative to frailing or clawhammer banjo and makes extensive use of alternate tunings. It can be heard in the playing of Wade Mainer and Roscoe Holcomb, both of whom used this technique to accompany their singing. This first level will start you off with the simple melodies and chordal accompaniment techniques that will lay the groundwork for a deeper study of the most influential source musicians later in the series.
