This party was extremely disappointing. For the $145 that we spent for each ticket, we could have attended a party that actually delivered on the terms that were promised. I would not recommend this party to anyone.
There was no champagne toast as advertised.
The bars all closed at 1AM, not 2AM as promised. I asked one bartender that appeared to still be open after 1AM for a drink, and she told me that the drinks were $5 each, even though I still had drink tickets left. After paying her the requested $5, she put the money in her purse. This was disgusting. The drinks should have been only $1 and the proceeds were supposed to benefit Hurricane Sandy victims.
They advertise that they have "several coat check areas."
There was actually only one coat check (not "several"), and we waited in this line for at least 30 minutes at the beginning of the night and another 30 minutes at the end of the night.
The "bartenders" are not actually bartenders. They are elderly banquet workers who moved so slowly.
They also promised "Chef's Selection of Gourmet Hors d'Oervres & Buffet and Lavish dessert & Coffee buffet and butler passed desserts." The only food that was there was pretzels and bread. Later on in the night, there were brownies. Brownies and pretzels are gourmet now? I think not.
Do not waste your time or money on this party. The staff treated everyone like crap. The men had to go down an elevator 3 floors to go to the washroom, which they said was a men's locker room. Do not fool yourself into thinking this will be a classy affair - it is not.
