Construction was completed during the summer 2006. The arena is home to University of Virginia Men's and Women's Basketball teams and host to a myriad of attractions including concerts, family shows, and community events. The Arena's inaugural lineup included such diverse acts as WWE Monday Night RAW, James Taylor, Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band, The Wiggles Live and Eric Clapton.
