WFAE's Public Conversations' Charlotte's Arts Groups: How Can They Survive and Thrive?
Arts & cultural organizations in Charlotte are struggling financially in the wake of the recession and cutbacks in community funding and donations. Many agencies have had to cut costs and services, and have little or no ‘cash reserves’ to sustain them through any future financial droughts. In some cases, a few of these non-profits have had to close their doors or suspend operations. WFAE's Public Conversations explores the financial challenges faced by Charlotte’s arts and cultural groups.
