Historic Preservation Recognition Award

The Lower Providence Community House Womens Club is pleased to announce that they will receive the Historic Preservation Recognition Award from the Mecklenburg Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The log cabin is already designated as a Mecklenburg County Historic Landmark. The most recent projects have been the restoration of the chimney, fireplace and log walls. This site has been a meeting place for fellowship and learning since 1938. The legacy continues today.
