Experience the fastest growing sport in person. The Charlotte Speed Demons women’s roller derby team hosts the Appalachian Rollergirls of Boone in the home season opener.
The Speed Demons are part of the movement to develop roller derby into a professional level sport with an eye on inclusion in the Olympic Games. They are also featured in Derby Baby, a roller derby film narrated by actress Juliette Lewis and scheduled for a summer release.
