Charlotte Black Film Festival

The Charlotte Black Film Festival (CBFF) is excited about making its 2nd year of promting independent films. The CBFF happens during the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament weekend! CIAA is a nationally recognized basketball tournament comprised of thirteen Historically Black Colleges and Universities (BCUs). Since relocating this event to Charlotte, it has drawn over 150,000 people from across the country into the downtown and surrounding areas and will serve as the platform… Show more for this year's festival.
This year's festival itinerary includes three days of educational and empowering film screenings, panel discussions, hands-on workshops and networking opportunities. In addition, the CBFF's prestigious Vision Award will be given to recognize the achievements of emerging actors, composers, screenwriters and directors.
