Concert By Metric

The Canadian indie rock, METRIC makes their Neighborhood Theatre debut while on tour for their new album Fantasies. Metric blends somewhat familiar, new wave synth lines with rythmic, choppy guitar accompaniment. Singer Emily Haines of Broken Social Scene, can croon like a diva from the chill-out tent or she can spike things up with a Blondie-meets-Kathleen Hanna hiccup. If you're looking for snapshots of punk and new wave bliss in easy-to-digest pop capsules, Metric is your band.
Metric's "Monster Hospital", "Police and the Private" and "Front Row" have been used on the television show Grey's Anatomy. "Monster Hospital" has also been used in CSI: Miami and "Gold Gun Girls" has been used on Entourage. Their albums have been nominated for several award including the Juno Award - Best Alternative Album and Polaris Music Prize - Canadian Album of The Year.
