What was it like to wear a hoop skirt from Civil War times? How could they stand all those layers? How miserable were wool uniforms in the summer? In conjunction with the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War, the Carolina Ladies Aid Society will set up an old-fashioned “studio” to assist you in creating your very own Carte-de-Visite or mid 19th century studio photograph.
