Rev. Drayton Day
In honor of the Rev. John Grimke Drayton, who expanded the gardens at Magnolia Plantation in the 1830s and opened them as Charleston's first tourist attraction in 1870, South Carolinians will receive $5 off the general $15 admission to the gardens on May 1, now known as the Rev Drayton Day. State residents must present a valid S.C. license or photo ID. Call for details about possible discounts for children aged 12 and under.
