Granville's Bastion, 1696-1785: Charleston's First Brick Fortress
Join historian Dr. Nic Butler for a review of the history of Granville's Bastion, a brick "fortress" that guarded the southeast corner of urban Charleston for nearly a century. This presentation will include historic plats and illustrations, as well as photographs of the archaeological remnants and a new 3D virtual model of the bastion.
This presentation is part of an ongoing series of educational events coordinated by the Mayor's Walled City Task Force (http://walledcitytaskforce.org).
