The documentary is a story of the cultural revival of the Wampanoag American Indian tribe. Their ancestors ensured the survival the Pilgrims and lived to regret it. Now they are bringing their language home again. Spurred by Jessie Little Doe Baird, a Wampanoag woman & MacArthur Genius Award winner for her unprecedented linguistic work, the Wampanoag are bringing their language & culture back to life after many generations with no native speakers.
