With a growing number of entrepreneurs competing for a finite pool of capital, first impressions are critical. And that means your pitch has to be right on target, telling a clear story that sells both you and your idea.
This workshop will provide you with extremely valuable tips, an opportunity to make your pitch, and invaluable feedback from a panel of judges (including investors/donors) - American Idol Style!
The workshop is open to students from across the triangle as well as faculty and staff and to anyone from the community who is interested to attend.

Dr. Tim Flood
Dr. Tim Flood is an Associate Professor of Management and Corporate Communication. He teaches several courses on presentation skills, business writing, and communication. He has been selected as a coach in the Carolina Challenge, preparing competing teams for their pitches and presentations to the judges.
He enjoys consulting one-on-one, in small groups, and in his classes on public speaking and business communication. His research interests include the roles of media and technology in both interpersonal and corporate communication, cross-cultural communication, and global business leadership fluency.
Dr. Flood received his PhD from UNC-Greensboro, his Ma from Texas A&M University and his Ba from the University of Maryland.
