The first in a new series, the Southern Foodways Alliance Series, The Larder fills an important gap in food studies: the methodology of food studies. Collaborating with the Southern Foodways Alliance, the new UGA Press series explores key themes and tensions in food studies including race, class, gender, power, and the environment. The series presents a variety of voices from scholars to journalists to writers of creative nonfiction.
