Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden Remove performer from this event
Known for such powerful hits as "Two Minutes to Midnight" and "The Trooper," Iron Maiden were and are one of the most influential bands of the heavy metal genre. The often-imitated band has existed for over nearly four decades, pumping out wild rock similar to Judas Priest....
Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains Remove performer from this event
In many ways, Alice in Chains was the definitive heavy metal band of the early '90s. Drawing equally from the heavy riffing of post-Van Halen metal and the gloomy strains of post-punk, the band developed a bleak, nihilistic sound that balanced grinding hard rock with subtly textured acoustic numbers....
Motorhead
Motorhead Remove performer from this event
Motörhead's overwhelmingly loud and fast style of heavy metal was one of the most groundbreaking styles the genre had to offer in the late '70s. Though the group's leader, Lemmy Kilminster, had his roots in the hard-rocking space rock band Hawkwind, Motörhead didn't bother with his old group's progressive tendencies, choosing to amplify the heavy biker rock elements of Hawkwind with the speed of punk rock....
Slipknot
Slipknot Remove performer from this event
Slipknot's mix of grinding, post-Korn alternative metal, Marilyn Manson-esque neo-shock rock, and rap-metal helped make them one of the most popular bands in the so-called nu-metal explosion of the late '90s....
Rammstein
Rammstein Remove performer from this event
Rammstein were formed in 1993 by an assembly of factory-weary proletarians raised in East Germany. They took their name (adding an "m") from the location of a German tragedy where 80 people were hurt and killed as the result of a crash during an American Air Force flight show....
Queens of the Stone Age
Queens of the Stone Age Remove performer from this event
It came from the desert. What "it" was, exactly, is still a matter of debate. Are Queensof the Stone Age a band? An association? A concept? The intermittent issue of an unhinged Carlo Von Sexron? The toxic byproduct of other bands? A variously shrinking and expanding group of friends and likeminded visitors? Or a secret society?Whatever kind of strange and terrible mutation slouched out of the irradiated California wasteland in 1996, it's evidently still around....
HIM
HIM Remove performer from this event
After forming in Finland in 1995, H.I.M. (or His Infernal Majesty) set out on the path of goth forebears like Sisters of Mercy and the Mission UK. Vocalist and songwriter Ville Hermanni Valo was the band's founding member, alongside bassist Migé Amour, guitarist Lily Lazer, drummer Mikka Karppinen (aka Gas Lipstick), and keyboardist Zoltan Pluto....
Mastodon
Mastodon Remove performer from this event
Mastodon have never really done anything the "conventional" way. The Atlanta-based band formulated their own brand of highly-skilled hard rock over a decade ago when others were rehashing 80s metal, and went on to mastermind a string of complex concept albums while much of the music world was centered on making digestible singles....
Thirty Seconds To Mars
Thirty Seconds To Mars Remove performer from this event
Formed in 1998 by frontman Jared Leto and his older brother, 30 Seconds to Mars found success in the 2000s with a mix of post-grunge, screamo, and hard rock. The band gained a modest audience with its debut album, but it was the platinum-selling sophomore effort A Beautiful Lie that officially opened the flood gates in 2005, securing the band a frequent presence on MTV while paving the way for a number of successful tours....
Stone Sour
Stone Sour Remove performer from this event
Stone Sour don't play it safe on their fourth offering, House of Gold & Bones — Parts 1 & 2. House of Gold & Bones Parts 1 & 2 is a collection of 23 tracks that follow an immersive, linear storyline....
A Day To Remember
A Day To Remember Remove performer from this event
The ability to evolve and push boundaries has never been more important than it is now. While the mainstream becomes safer, the dynamic, genre-bending acts are driven underground, to be discovered by a whole new generation of music fans not content with the identikit bands pushed at them through the major media....
Bullet For My Valentine

Volbeat
Volbeat Remove performer from this event
If there was ever any question about rock 'n' roll being alive and well, the answer has arrived in the form of Monster Energy's Rock Allegiance Tour .

The late summer trek will feature four game-changing rock bands from four different countries, with Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne on the bill....
The Gaslight Anthem
The Gaslight Anthem Remove performer from this event
The Gaslight Anthem rose out of the fertile punk scene of New Brunswick, NJ, flaunting a unique style that melded the influence of Bruce Springsteen, Wilson Pickett, and various Motown groups with the rough, emotional grit of Hot Water Music and Jawbreaker....

Jun 13, 2010 - Todd on Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden San Antonio

Saw Maiden last night at the AT&T center. While they were good there was a definant lack of attention to some of the older more known songs that helped build Iron maiden to who they are. I spoke with numerous patrons that were disapointed that they weren't playing some of their older tunes.
