Special Event Workshop - 28 October 2014
Standing at the Threshold: The Future of Od Is Now
This highly interactive session offers an intimate opportunity to explore the future of Od with Dr David Drake. He will share highlights from recent presentations at places like Google in Silicon Valley that offer glimpses into where the field is heading, particularly in terms of leadership development and change.
The workshop will be run like one of his Narrative Design Labs in that the frameworks you learn… Show more will be used for the design of the session itself. For example, we will meet in a circle and emphasize socially supported yet self-directed learning as part of a broader Diyt (Do It Yourself Together) philosophy.
What you will gain from the session:
A shared understanding of what organizations most need from us
An experience of the value of Od as an alignment of personal and collective stories
A basic understanding of narrative design, integrative development and design thinking
A chance to create pivots and a vector for change as integrative tools
A series of opportunities to work in small groups using the two frames to address real issues
An experience with two practices we use to help people see change in a new way
A copy of the materials and a set of tips on thriving in a postprofessional world
