“Light In August” by William Faulkner will be the focus of the Great Books discussion serie from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Set in the early 20th century South, the racial issues and attitudes of that time and place play a part in this novel. The discussion is free and open to the public, and no registration is needed.
